How is the composition?

How is the composition?, originally uploaded by Vijay...

One of those difficult pictures where i struggled to get a good composition by crop. The subject bee is however in almost center of frame which is not as per my usual style of composition, but looking at the picture i see that the flower and the bee makes it a subject of this picture, which does look good in this composition. So here comes totally uncropped version as it is.
I would love to know your views.

A Lantana flower, with some Photo shop masking to have a all Black background. Initially i wanted it on white to have a floating feel, but with black the color contrast of flower are much better.

In Hinduism, Durga (Sanskrit: दुर्गा, meaning "the inaccessible" or "the invincible"; Bengali: দুর্গা, durga) or Maa Durga (Bengali: মা দুর্গা, ma durga, meaning "Mother Durga") "one who can redeem in situations of utmost distress".Durga is a form of Devi, the supremely radiant goddess, depicted as having ten arms, riding a lion or a tiger, carrying weapons and a lotus flower, maintaining a meditative smile, and practicing mudras, or symbolic hand gestures.

From the archives. A shot with Kenko 1.4x Tele-converter and Canon EF 70-300mm. The combination is certainly OK if compared with a P&S bridge camera, but its not what i gambled for even after reading the reviews of this combination. Next step will be to get a L series lens to justify the Tele-converter purchase :P

Focus Stacking

Focus Stacking, originally uploaded by Vijay...

The above shot is a composite of two shots with the droplet shot at different focus distances and combined together to show more DOF. In the original shots one had the refraction in droplet in perfect focus but the droplet itself was not in focus and second shot had exact opposite. I combined the two to get the best of the two shots.
